Overview

In Westminster, CO, Bemas excavated and constructed sculpted concrete drop structures and trickle channels. These features were a part of the main drainageway at the Legacy Ridge development.

Challenges

The main challenge of the Legacy Ridge Drainageway was the fine grading. The concrete subcontractor needed extremely accurate grading to minimize the number of overruns in the new drop structures. Bemas cautiously graded the new material which ultimately led to a new drop structure with no overrun issues.

The Final Result

The colored and sculpted concrete provided a fantastic display in lieu of typical riprap and boulders. After completing this project, the owner and local municipality loved the look of the new drainageway.
